This gives perspective attendees the chance to get a feel for what we have to offer, instead of simply signing up to a course with no clue what to expect. One of the nice things about the modern internet world is that you c...

Interviewing Practical Covert on Lock Picking
I would Love to take one of these Courses I heard about you guys from Southern Specialties:) maybe some time soon ill make it to one! Love hearing about the changes.
I started going in reverse. That said. Inserted and twisted, closed the hasp and you feel it spring you back. Rotate clockwise and unlocks with ease. Upon returning to zero you get "kicked out" from access to the cam. Sounds like I need to take a little off the top. (Enters smooth as butter with cylinder removed) Heve tolerances been made tighter over the years?
I can understand the contempt you had with officers. Most of my adult life, I had only a few I looked up to. Whenever I did get to a place where I had some authority as low level management, majority of my job was just pushing some papers and picking up the slack so my guys can do their job. Nothing prestigious, but I really cherish when the guys would thank me for the small stuff I do.
When using a stub type tool, it only transfers turning motion to that quarter inch. Thus breaking it. Putting a key blank into the lock with it does nothing. You need a tool that extends far into the cylinder, thus spreading the turning pressure to the whole cylinder instead of a small portion. Less chance of doing what happened in this video.
Used a meat thermometer..
thats a solid looking pocket knife can i ask what keywords to use when looking for that online
So what is the safest one to have no thief's?
Can you give me an honest answer please. What tubular impressioning tool is good to get. I just don't want to throw money away. Thanks
That makes sense to unlock the deadbolt first, thank you.
Excellent podcast. I've listened to a few dozen by now. Love your point of view on things, very analytical and methodical. Looking forward to reviewing your TLP book soon once I finish reading it. I would like to add, that the benefit of being a high security lock picker such as myself, is often misunderstood by the tactical community. Just because I have put in over 20 hours into a single high security lock, doesn't mean I would even consider picking the same lock in the field. Just because I can blind pick a mul-t-lock interactive out of the box within minutes, doesn't mean I would still even attempt that in the field. Understanding the locks security features, because I have spent hours taking them apart to exploit them, teaches me when NOT TO pick a lock, more than it does WHEN TO pick a lock. I can rake a lock, and the second it falls into a false set, I can know I'm dealing with security pins, and therefore my plan of attack will completely change, to include, skipping picking altogether and moving to a bypass or destructive method, depending on mission requirements. It's also like saying, because I wrestled for the Marine Corps, I will handle all physical altercations with a wrestler's clinch, leaving myself vulnerable to strikes, when in actuality, I'm fully aware of the difference between a sport that is performed in a controlled environment, and a street fight that is violent, exhausting, unplanned, terrifying, and ends quickly. Give us challenge lockpickers some credit, we know just as much when "not to pick", as we do when to pick. And the more you learn and know and are capable of, the more your willing to walk away from that lock... or that next fight. To assume someone is so skilled that they become a detriment to their own doing, would be a grave mistake to any opponent. -sandman
Oh yeah this is a great set !!
Oh no you got suckered into the crap jiggler key set and a not so effective tension wrench. You should definitely be a vigilante
Lmao the kick the door in bit was awesome lolol Same tho
Darn! I just got one of these for my mother. I never thought that it could be so easy to crack. However, I programed my mom's with a three digit code. You don't have to use a four digit code.
This arent tools. from a german perspektive that is useless trash
Bullshit !! Try this on german doors !!
Absolut Useless
God these wheels are so sloppy. Opened in 45 seconds
Hello, thank you for the video! I have the M175 on (2) dumpster outside of my commercial facility. Someone accidently changed the combo. After reviewing several other videos, I felt yours had the best credibility. It worked like a charm! Thank YOU! You saved me a lot of time and money!
For what its worth have you found a better tool yet than this?
This will come in handy if I accidentally lock myself inside my house.
I tried this and it did not work for me. However i used to have a 5 digit code, does that make a difference?
How do I find the downloads?
This is discontinued unfortunately
That is insane first lock I ever picked, took me less than 2 minutes thanks to your video. Awesome!!!
Buddy which reader/viewer you are using ?
Upside down locks can be a pain, because it's easy to over set. Obviously you gravity working against you, pushing the key pins past the cylinder. The "key" is a lot of tension and a lot of patience. It'll go eventually. Bitch picking works best (random single pin picking) If you don't have enough tension, the key pins will fall past the cylinder
If you don't have an airbag for the car door, a blood pressure cuff works too
I miss my bogatas. I broke one and lost the other. Amazing picks though
Your explanation was very simple and clear. Thanks for sharing 👍
That is way too loud. So much easier to pick the lock mechanism with a kw
Thnx!!
Im trying for half an hour with multiple tools, cards, shims, laminated papers, but i just cant do it.. up, down, left, right, i dont understand why xd
And did it work in the end?
sadly no@@maisingrux
I just made my own from an Allen wrench.
It was a good book for its time. Sadly, much of his advice is out-of-date. For example new federal regulations require the filing of a statement of Beneficial Ownership Interest (BOI) with the U.S. Treasury Department within a few months after the formation of an LLC entity. So much for your license plates coming back to a truly private Wyoming LLC entity with a corporate name that sounds like a first and last name.
Thanks for the video. I was in the process of making one…drilled $45 dollars to get in and rekeyed the rest.
Interesting but it drives me crazy that the knob on the left is upside down.
Does the third line video exist? Can't find it anywhere... Just another 2nd line bag video with the same bag
Looks great, I feel like I watched this somewhere before, but the date says its 6 months into the future lol (October 2024). Great job! Really great info! You're a great instructor.
Learned several things. Good presentation.
Amazing - for every lock there is a key right
Great workshop; really nice how you involved the audience right away by having a few of them start picking, and then checked back with them and wove helping them with answering the other questions. Nice job 👏
What a handsome guy!
You have the best account name ever 😂 ⚖️
But in the video you do not need to jigger the door open - just open it: you are not locked in. So what's the point?
Do deadbolts pick in 1 direction only? Wouldn't you tension/turn away from the latch locked position?
Exact question i had. Wish someone would answer!!
You can pick them in either direction. Think about it, you can put your key in the lock and turn it either way....... There are cases where it is much easier to get them to pick in the "wrong" direction, which is where the plug spinner comes in. Or sometimes you just get the direction wrong.
I think I first heard about these generic “most keyways” (which probably means anything except crazy-paracentric :) disablers when Covert Instruments came out with their “lock harpoon” several months back. Very happy to see these available as a stand-alone easily-carried tool separate from their Covert Companion Mega Tool 😊
Keep those in my wallet. Such a small tool, is great for denial, harassment, etc..
Yeah Boris! Motel Keys by Sparrows are geared to 4 keyways: Schlage, Weiser, Kwickset, Yale. I like the idea of Lock Blocker as you get 4 that are not keyway specific so if you need to leave one behind you still have 3 more to use. You also get to use it on padlocks. In my fantasy, it can be used for escape from baddies to secure the door behind you as you go. It is not a lock pick, so will be legal even in places where lock picks are not. The best reason to have one on you...to counter other people using a Lock Blocker on you!
This guy is on the inside of the door handle...lmfao..wtf
